Finance Department
The
Finance Director, under the direction of the Administrator shall be the Chief
Fiscal Officer of the municipality. Duties
include, but are not limited to keeping the financial records of the
municipality; establishing the accounting system, financial records and reports;
preparing and submitting appropriation measures, estimates, budgets, capital
programs; and performing other functions performed by the Auditor and Treasurer
of a municipality under the general laws of Ohio.
The Finance Director is appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation
by a majority of the members of Council for an indefinite term.
Jordan Daugherty, a licensed Certified Public
Accountant, joined the staff at the Village of Whitehouse in November of
2007. After graduating from Bowling
Green State University with a Masters of Accountancy, he worked two years in
public accounting then another three years working in construction accounting.
He, his wife Allison, and their two girls, Molly Jo and Mary, currently
live in Neapolis, Ohio. Mr.
Daugherty was born and raised in Whitehouse and has a great care for its
wellbeing. In his free-time, he and
his family are heavily involved in their church.
He also likes to spend time with his family, work on his house, and lift
weights.
