| New Building Permit Process - Effective September 1, 2010, the Village of Whitehouse and the City of Maumee have formed a team for the purpose of building plan review, permit issuance, and inspection services. Attached is an explanation of the procedure to be followed for building permits. We feel confident that this will streamline the procedure and make the building department much more efficient. We realize that some confusion will take place in the beginning weeks, but feel confident that this is a good decision for Whitehouse residents! | Farmers Market - The 2010 Farmers Market runs from July 17 to September 25, 2010! The Whitehouse Farmers Market, a satellite market of the Toledo Farmers Market, is held on Saturday mornings from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon in downtown Whitehouse on Providence Street near the Wabash Cannonball Bike Trail. We're looking for vendors (farmers, artists, crafters, etc.) who are interested in participating. Recent Zoning Changes - Village Council recently adopted
new regulations concerning: Section 1258.05 Off-Street Parking Lot Requirements. This update deals primarily with the parking of recreational vehicles. | Fishing Allowed! - The Village Council in conjunction with the Toledo Area Metroparks has opened the large quarry at the Blue Creek Conservation Area to allow public fishing and nature walks. REMEMBER: At the current time fishing is allowed from the quarry edge only. NO BOATING OR SWIMMING IS ALLOWED State of Ohio fishing licenses ARE REQUIRED for anyone 16 years of age and older and can be obtained locally at the General Pro Hardware Store located in downtown Whitehouse (419-877-0461). |
