Downtown Business/Building Owners Meeting will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the Community Development Block Grant.  All interested building and business owners in the downtown area are encouraged to attend to learn the next steps in our grant application.  Meeting will take place at Village Hall in the Council Chambers.  Call 419-877-5383 if you have questions or cannot attend and would like information.
Owens Community College is offering personal and professional enrichment classes this fall in partnership with the Village of Whitehouse administration.  Offerings are based on the results of a survey conducted in an earlier Village Newsletter and will include computer training, Zumba (aerobic dance), and Sustainable/ Green Design.  Classes will be held at the Browning Masonic Community facility off Neowash Road.  For further information, to see a schedule, or to put in your request for a class, please call Owens at 567-661-7357 or visit www.owens.edu/whitehouse 
YMCA Summer Recreation Program has begun! The program will run from July 14 through August 8 at the Whitehouse Park from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. daily and is open to children 6 to 12 years of age.   The cost for Whitehouse residents will be $5.00 per week, per child.  Click here for additional information, list of special events and a registration form.
Review of Sign Ordinance (Chapter 1259) - The Village Planning Commission has completed its review of the Sign Ordinance language.  The proposed changes are available here for review and will go before Village Council for approval.  
Grass and  Noxious Weeds - The spring and summer mowing season is here!  Remember, all land within the Village limits shall have the grass cut to a height not in excess of six inches and shall be kept free and clear from all noxious weeds and rank vegetation.  See rules and regulations in the attached Legal Notice.
Whitehouse Water Customers - Please note that all water meters will be read monthly now! In the past, meters were read quarterly and estimated during the other months. This should cut down on many surprises to our residents, as you will have actual readings on a monthly basis. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Village employees at 419-877-5383.
